FTC Takes Action on Brain Training - Andrea Peterson and Brian Fung

There are plenty of brain-training programs in the market today that it literally becomes difficult for the common man to choose the right ones actually work. Most of these programs do not have any scientific backing to prove that their programs actually improve brain function. Fast ForWord is the program designed by eminent Neuro Scientists who have studied "How the Brain Learns" for more than 30 years. Fast ForWord has over 250 research papers submitted to its credit and protected by 80 patents to make it unique.
I am writing this after reading a news published on 5 Jan 16 according to which the Federal Trade Commission fined Lumos Labs (maker of Lumosity brain training) $ 2 million for deceptive advertising claims. As mentioned by them, “Lumosity simply did not have the science to back up its ads.” To Read more click here.
This decision of FTC is reminding everyone that the “rules of the road” apply to the field of brain training. Companies marketing such programs should be able to back up what they say with scientific proof.
